Styled Tables - Table Settings

Introduction

There are two primary styling capabilities for your styled tables:

  • Table styles

  • Cell styles and formatting

This article will be a review of the features and controls available within the table style settings. Those controls include the title, cell borders, container color and container border.

Descriptions of options

Title Settings

  • Allow the builder to change the title of the styled table

  • Turn the title on or off with checkbox

Cell Border Color

  • Controls the color of the borders of all cells within the table

  • Set color via a hexcode or using the color picker

  • Set border color to transparent so it inherits the background color it is placed on

Container Color

  • Controls the color of the container that holds the table, but will not update the background colors of the table's cells

  • Set color via a hexcode or using the color picker

  • Set container color to transparent so it inherits the background color it is placed on

Container Border Color

  • Controls the color of the border of the entire table component, including the header and table

  • Set color via a hexcode or using the color picker

  • Set container border color to transparent so it inherits the background color it is placed on

Example One

This example shows a styled table with dark blue cell borders, green container and red container border, added to a VividCharts slide deck, where the slide has a yellow background.

Example Two

This example shows a styled table with transparent cell borders, transparent container and dark grey container border, added to a VividCharts slide deck, where the slide has a light teal background.
