The VividSheets Styled Tables feature was added in the VividSheets 1.2.0 release. The ability to add a table to a VividCharts slide deck was added in the VividCharts 1.8.0 release.

Summary:

When you are setting the styles for your styled table, within the VividSheets styled tables editor, you have the opportunity to set the width of columns. While these widths will immediately be reflected within the editor, when you use the table within VividSheets the widths act as proportions for the widths in relationship for the overall container size of the table.

Example:

Say you two columns: Column A, which you set to 75px wide, and column B, which you set to 150px wide.

In the editor those exact pixels will be used to draw your table columns.

After you save the styled table, you add it to a VividCharts slide deck, then you make the table 2x the width of the version in the editor.

In this case, the columns will no longer be 150px and 75px, instead they will be 300px and 150px respectively. The proportions remain the same, but the specific pixel values will change.

Lets look at that example a little closer.

The following image shows a table that shows the second column to have a width of 75px.

The next image shows the same table, but with the first column having a width of 150px.

The next image shows that same styled table added to the slide deck, with 3 different configurations. Here's a description of all three:

Example A: This is the way the table will look immediately after adding it to the slide deck. The container is smaller than the original styled table, so there is a scroll bar added to the table. The second column remains 50% the size of the first column.

Example B: This table was expanded wide enough to remove the scroll bar and display the full table. This example will have the first column displayed at 150px and second column at 75px.

Example C: This table was expanded to cover more of the slide, making it larger than the original styled table designed in the editor. In this case, the first column is larger than 150px and the second column is larger than 75px. However, you can see that the proportions of the columns remain, as the first column is still 2x the width of the second column.
