Overview

VividSheet provides a pre-processing tool for your ServiceNow data. This allows you to stage your data, calculated KPIs, and complex metrics within seconds, using a spreadsheet-like UI. This staged information can then be used to fulfill your Automated Operational Reporting requirements.

Application Dependencies

There are no other plugins or application dependencies to use VividSheets.

Installation Instructions

1. Go to the ServiceNow store and search for VividSheets. Click on the application card.

2. Once you have selected the application click on the 'Get' button in the upper right-hand section of the screen. Walk through the process of downloading and installing the application to your instance.

3. You can verify the application has been installed at this step by going to the ServiceNow Navigator and searching for 'VividSheets'. You should see the following menu option in your navigation.

Note: We have found it necessary at times to logout and login, or close your browser window completely and reopen the application for the menu item to appear.

Configuration Instructions

Before you start configuration, the first step of this process will require a user with a ServiceNow admin role.

Step One: Assign User Manager

In the ServiceNow Navigation, search for VividSheets and click on 'VividSheets Home'. The user will be prompted with a pop-up, with a required step before any use of the application. This step is to identify the VividSheets User Manager(s).

This modal provides some additional details, but a primary note is our suggestion is that the user manager be someone who can configure roles for their users. This is because to create new sheets within VividSheets, users will need to have the "x_vivid_sheets.builder" role.

Once a user has been identified as a VividSheets User Manager, the application can now be accessed.

Step Two: Review System Configuration Screen

A ServiceNow admin user will be able to review, add, and update these settings from the 'System Configuration' screen within the application. While this information is viewable by other users, only a ServiceNow admin can make updates.
