In this article we will cover how to use a chart template.

Utilizing chart templates can be a great way to build stylized Views quickly and consistency. A chart template is a pre-made chart that with saved conditions, styles, and slide position.

To use a chart template, click on the charts icon on the left side navigation bar, then click Chart templates. Either search for a specific chart template title, choose a workflow, or choose a chart type.

There are many out-of-the-box VividCharts created chart templates for you to choose from! Simply clicking on any of the options will add the chart template to your slide.

In our example of how to create a chart template, we created a templated called "Score - Active incidents created last 3 months"

By utilizing this chart template, we can easily customize our view. NOTE: When a chart template is added to a view, it is placed in the same position it was in when it was created.

In the below example, the score showing 5 records was created into a chart template. Once selected, the second chart was moved down below it, then the conditions changed to create 2 nearly identically styled charts with different conditions.
