We use the word "report" to describe the output that VividCharts produces. A report in VividCharts could be:
A slide deck
A filterable slide deck/dashboard with multiple charts, filters, etc.
A Scaled Report that has generated from a blueprint
Those with the Builder role in VividCharts can create a new report from either the Home page or a Collection detail page by clicking the '+ Create Something new' button:
From there you can select what you want to create. Selecting Slide Deck or Filterable Slide Deck/Dashboard will take you right into the Editor.
The Editor is a flexible tool that allows you to configure and format your report in one place before sharing it to be consumed by your desired audience.
Let's change the title of this report to 'Open Incidents' and click the title 'SAVE' button:
Once you have saved your new title, that is how your report will be listed throughout VividCharts. Other articles will cover the Editor in more depth, but you have now successfully created a report that is ready for you to build on.
Throughout VividCharts, anytime you see the back arrow in the top-left of the app, clicking that will take you back to the last page you were on. Go ahead and click the back arrow in the Editor and it will take us back to the last page you were on. In this example, we started from the home page so it takes us back there. You will now see the report we just created and renamed. From here, you can go back into the editor of this report by clicking the pencil icon.
