SSO support and public sharing are currently not compatible with each other. This is a ServiceNow function.
Disabling public sharing requires the user to be a security admin, not just a regular ServiceNow admin.
If you disable public sharing to support SSO, users will not be able to share any VividCharts assets publicly.
By default, VividCharts is enabled to allow public sharing. If VividCharts allows for public sharing, users can add the public role to any view/summary, etc, and can share it with users that do not have an active ServiceNow login. Public routes in ServiceNow ignore SSO when navigating to our page. If necessary, public sharing can be disabled which will cause VividCharts to be caught by single sign-on and work with all pre-established SSO configurations.
To disable public sharing, you need to be a security admin, go to the Access Controls table - sys_security_acl.
The Access Control to update is called x.vivid.vividcharts.app.
Open the record and remove the public role from the Requires Role list. The page should look like this before the removal of public from required roles.
