Why can't I see my new PA Indicator?

If a new PA indicator is added to your ServiceNow instance and is not selectable in VividCharts, or an existing indicator is not populating as a data source in VividCharts, take these steps to make it accessible.

  1. Go to the ServiceNow record of the indicator which is not populating in VividCharts.

  2. On the ServiceNow record locate the Access control tab and set the True/False field for Publish on Analytics Hub to true. Check other sharing settings on the indicator so that the intended users will have visibility. Save the record.

  3. The PA data source will not be visible in VividCharts until the VividDailyUpdate scheduled job has been run. This can either be run manually or it will automatically run overnight.

  4. Once the job has completed, return to VividCharts and your new indicator will be visible.
