Summary

The Label Truncation feature in VividCharts 2.0 allows users to control how long labels appear on charts—especially useful for long text labels. This eliminates issues with label overflow, overlapping chart containers, or formatting errors during exports to PDF or PowerPoint.

Capabilities

  • Automatically truncates long Y-axis or X-axis labels when space is limited

  • Adjusts label and visual space as chart size changes

  • Allows manual control over the percentage of space dedicated to labels vs. visuals

  • Supports proper layout when container colors or borders are applied

  • Maintains label alignment inside chart bounds during exports

Benefits

  • Cleaner visual layout with no label overflow

  • Improved design precision with manual control of label/visual ratio

  • Better export experience, especially to PowerPoint and PDF

  • Responsive chart behavior when resizing

  • Professional-looking reports with clear, readable labels and visuals

This feature ensures your charts look polished and readable, even with long labels—making it easier to design reports that are both functional and visually appealing.
