Summary

The Custom Min/Max Y-Axis feature allows users to define specific minimum and maximum values for the Y-axis on their charts. This is especially useful when presenting data within a tight range (e.g., SLA performance) or when a visual emphasis is needed on specific thresholds.

Capabilities

  • Set a custom maximum value for the Y-axis.

  • Set a custom minimum value for the Y-axis.

  • Apply both custom min and max values together for full axis control.

  • Automatically display arrow indicators for data points below the set minimum.

Benefits

  • Improved visual focus: Limit chart range to highlight important data segments (e.g., SLA ranges from 95–100%).

  • More accurate representation: Ensure the axis scale reflects your reporting needs, especially when outliers are present.

  • Better data readability: Avoid unnecessary whitespace on charts when low or high outliers skew the default scale.

  • Custom visual indicators: Clearly show when values fall below your defined minimum using intuitive arrow indicators.

To use this feature, go to your chart’s Style settings, scroll to the Y-axis (or X-axis) settings, and toggle on the “Use custom min” or “Use custom max” options. Enter your desired values and see your chart adjust instantly.
